Familiar Essay
Is the glass half full or half empty? This well-known riddle-test is designed to give a person an optimist or a pessimist definition. This joke is known for people for a long time, and now the answers on it are not as sincere as they were some decades ago. However, the ability to see the world through the lens of negative or positive perception has not changed much even nowadays. Being honest and describing my personality, I can say that some people say the glass is always having full but I say the glass should be overflowing.
At the beginning of this essay I need to mention that my life is really great, because I like not only my life, but I also like all events that take their place in it. I agree with a statement that, of course, not everyone can be a famous person, but even an ordinary man can show own abilities in everyday life. I have no necessity to become as famous as Ricky Martin or Oprah Winfrey for the purpose of to communicate with many people and be popular, but I like to be with people in contact, to help my friends and even strangers, to be real with people and to say only honest things, so, I can say that my mother and father educate me as a good and even kind person. I’m a sociable person, and I really love to make people laugh and have fun. Sometimes I’m rather shy, but believing the proverb that shyness is not intrinsic to charismatic people, I begin doubting my shyness and compare it with an attempt to open the door with the wrong key when the right one is also in the pocket. In such a way, I believe that any person should listen to own heart, and not simply follow the generally accepted patterns of behavior, but also be original.
I like the principle that the world belongs to optimists, while pessimists are just spectators… Thus, I am an optimistic person who always prefers to look forward the future with hope, because the pessimists make only predictions, while the optimists – the weather. My sense of humor is very good and even when I am short of funds it is not a problem for me to buy a billfold, because even Murphy was an optimist. I do not like to be upset, and it is not my way to be in depression, because according to famous proverb, ‘I cannot have everything… where would I put it?’ As a result, I always set a positive mood, and even ready to charge others with my vital positive energy.
To have a true friend is necessary to become a good friend. All my friends think that I don’t like secrets, but it is not a truth. I like secrets very much, and sometimes I think that curiosity was born much earlier than I was, but I have enough patience to keep private information if some of my friends told me to do so. That is why I can speak with a proud about my trustworthy. It seems to me that gossip is a way to loose friends and to find the bad reputation, so it is not my way.
To sum up, I am sure that I am an ordinary person with an extraordinary wish to be as specific as I can. My life is full of different ideas and emotions, and I will never stop think that life is motion and my front-row seat will be mine in any case.
