Currently, our company is concerned with the automation of internal business processes and improvement of the communication between units and employees of the company. The recent decision of the Board of Directors implies the acceleration of the automation of internal business process and office automation of the company. In this regard, I would like to inform you that our company can meet its strategic goal and accelerate the automation process if it speeds up the transition from IBM Office Vision, which the company is still using, to IBM Lotus Notes, which the company has introduced along with IBM Office Vision as the major office automation software.
In actuality, our company uses IBM Lotus Notes, which is one of the most widely-spread office automation software in the contemporary business environment. In this regard, I would mention some major advantages of Lotus Notes. First of all, this office automation software is reliable and protected from the external, unauthorized intrusion. In fact, the reliable is one of the major advantages of Lotus Notes compared to other applications, whereas, today, the reliability becomes particularly important, taking into consideration the fact that information within the company is stored and transmitted electronically.
At the same time, Lotus Notes is one of the first collaborative software that proves that IBM has an extensive experience in the development of this software and its quality is high. This is probably why Lotus Notes is so popular today among many companies, who prefer this application to other ones. In addition, Lotus Notes is effective for it provides ample opportunities for the company to access business e-mail, calendar, databases of the company, and other options, which make the software very convenient for the company.
On the other hand, Lotus Notes has some disadvantages. In this regard, many employees working in the company have noticed the low usability of the application. However, such attitude to Lotus Notes is probably determined by the dissatisfaction of users with interface of software rather than by some objective factors.
At the same time, our company uses the group collaboration software, IBM Office Vision, which also has a number of advantages, such as the user-friendly interface. In addition, this software is also reliable as Lotus Notes does. On the other hand, Office Vision has substantial disadvantages. To put it more precisely, Office Vision is becoming out of date. In this regard, it is worth mentioning the fact that even IBM recommends moving to its Lotus Notes. At the moment, used as a transitional tool to complete the transition to Lotus Notes within three years. In fact, the use of Office Vision has no reason because Lotus Notes is more advanced and more effective in terms of office automation and group collaboration. In spite of certain inconveniences related to low usability and interface of Lotus Notes, this software is still in an advantageous position compared to Office Vision, which becomes out of date.
This is why I would highly recommend you to accelerate the transition from Office Vision to Lotus Notes because the transition will accelerate the full office automation and improve the collaboration between units and employees within our company that is one of the major strategic goals of our company.
